Who is Team 237?

who-is-team-237Team 237 is a FIRST Robotic Competition team in Watertown, CT.

Our primary mission is to inspire Watertown High School students in science and technology. Students and volunteers do this through the design, build and competition of a remote control robot that is built in 6 weeks. Along the way students gain the skills of critical thinking, teamwork, public speaking, manufacturing, CAD and electrical circuits.

Our secondary mission is to educate our community about our mission. We participate and volunteer in the Memorial Day parade, Bethlehem Fair, STEM nights at local schools and many more events. Our goal is to inspire others in science and technology as well as give our students an opportunity to give back to the community that has supported them.

These missions help students reach their fullest potential in a technical field or non-technical field. We have had students complete their 4 year degree and secure jobs at SpaceX, Pratt and Whitney, Mohegan Sun, Yale New Haven Hospital and many more companies around the United States. We have even had students use their skills to create their our businesses such at Hunchback Graphics and Bitte Chocolate.None of this would be possible without the support we get from the Watertown and greater Watertown community. Without your support none of this would be possible. Thank you to all of those that have contributed since our creation in 1998!
